Joanne Tyree

Joanne Tyree cast her very first vote for George McGovern and has been a proud, unapologetic Democrat ever since. After retiring from a long career in IT, she decided that debugging code wasn’t nearly as urgent as fixing democracy—so she now devotes her time and energy to getting great Democratic candidates elected.

Joanne grew up in California, where babies are practically issued an ACLU card along with their birth certificate, which may explain a lot. She fiercely believes that injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere—and she doesn’t just believe it, she acts accordingly.
