Yeena Yoo

Yeena is an elected DuPage County Board Member, representing District 2. A long-time gun safety advocate, she is a founding member of the Elmhurst chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, where she took on responsibilities as Data Lead, and later as Chair of the chapter. Yeena also serves as commissioner on the Elmhurst Senior Citizens Commission, and on the Board of Directors for the Elmhurst History Museum. Trained as both an attorney and social worker, she spent more than 15 years as a legal aid attorney representing and advising senior citizens, immigrants, and survivors of domestic violence -- experience that continues to shape her people-centered approach to public service. A high school project on Eleanor Roosevelt sparked Yeena's decision to become a Democrat, and Eleanor remains her number one (s)hero!
